Objective: Reduce poverty among refugees by fostering self-reliance through entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
Activities:
- Trained 30 women and 20 youth (12F, 8M) in business development, record-keeping, and marketing.
- Formed a cooperative society and 3 SLA ( Savings & Loan Association) groups, providing startup capital.
- Linked beneficiaries to microfinance institutions for scalable growth.
Outcomes: - 17+ refugees launched small businesses (retail, tailoring, agriculture).
- SLA groups saved 1,000.000+ Ugx collectively within 6 months.
