Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security Initiative (2024)

Objective: Combat hunger and climate vulnerability through agro-training and inputs.
Activities:

  • Trained 200 farmers (120F, 80M) on climate-smart farming (drought-resistant crops, soil conservation).
  • Distributed starter kits (maize/bean seeds, cassava stems, tools).
  • Established community gardens for collaborative farming.
    Outcomes:
  • 85% of farmers reported improved crop yields.
  • Gardens produced 3,000+ kg of vegetables annually for 50+ families.
    Beneficiaries: Refugee and host-community farmers in Cluster K, B,C,A,D,E.
